YMCA Theatre: There have actually been two YMCA Theatres in Scarborough. The first was part of the North Street premises (later redeveloped as the T K Maxx store). Initially a hall which could be converted into a theatre space, this was converted into a permanent theatre space in 1984. In 1998, the YMCA moved to St Thomas Street with a permanent theatre space and projection; the theatre had a significant refit in 2007.
